Hello. I’m back. I’m alive.
Super condensed weekend recap:
- Walked along the Thames at night
- Alfie’s Antique Market
- Camden Market
For those at home that don’t know what these things mean you can consult Google for more info.
Off to work again. Today I edited in the morning and researched in the afternoon. The three of us interns also moved away from our “intern corner” where we used to sit and into the desks in the main work area with the rest of our co-workers.
Being right there with the rest of the Tobias people was great because I actually have the opportunity to see what everyone else here is working on. They are doing some really cool things. Stuff I’ve seen in class before, but never in the context of the work world. This was one of my goals for this internship; to gain a better understanding of what it would be like to work for a tech company and what that might look like in the different positions that people hold here.
Everyone I’ve talked to has been more than happy to show me what they are doing and explain it to me. This aligns with another one of my initial goals which was to ask as many questions as I could. This will help me to learn as much as possible in the limited amount of time that I have here.
I also found out that my supervisor discovered my blog, so if you happen to be reading this, hi Hannah!
I wasn’t expecting this, but I guess I should be happy. Maybe my name is actually climbing the ranks in the Google search results. Sometimes I write this forgetting that people actually read it (even if it is just friends and family and Jeff), but professional writing is all about writing and designing experiences for a particular audience so what better way to practice that whenever I want than by writing this blog?
That’s not necessarily a rhetorical question, actual suggestions would be much appreciated.
