After giving up on finding my lost bag I made my way to Regent’s University in London via a 15 minute train ride on the Heathrow Express and a short cab ride.
I saw no one else from our group when I first arrived although I did meet another group from Michigan State who are staying here to study photography. Eventually the rest of our group showed up and we all were taken on a tour of the campus and given basic orientation information.
Following this our professor, Jeff, led us into London on the tube. He also intentionally led us up a spiraling flight of 193 stairs out of the underground. He’s told us it’s his goal to wear us out both mentally and physically.
Once we were out in the open we walked past Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, and Parliament. Then Jeff left us on our own to find our way back.
We did this without a problem, but not before stopping at a pub for dinner called “The Old Shades”. We also stopped at a drug store where we looked for towels without any luck. I guess I’ll have to air dry for a day or so.
